Prom was ok. But for Tuan's sake, it was good.

Stuck with Eunice at the reception area at the start. And i got a start seeing 33/04 all being dressed to kill. I looked like a primary school kid beside them with my obiang black hair and my long white skirt. I looked like some kampong idiot, whilst they did their hair and slabbed on thick make-up with smokey eyeshadow and wore tube cocktail dresses. Everyone was dressed to the nines... except me. Haha. And many had dates with them, wrapping each other in hugs and kisses with their hands permernantly stuck together with super glue. I felt a little uncomfortable with 33/04 frankly, so when i saw Jie Ying, i went to look for her and stuck with 34/04 the rest of the night. We were all LEP people afterall, closer too.

I din waste money. I think i drank $35 bucks worth of coca cola. And the food was not bad. hahaha... but i sat at the table talking to Andrea most of the night. We din dance, cuz when we went down to the dance floor, we would just stand there like goblocks. Face it, i dunno how to dance. The Prom Queen is Esther, our good fren and the prom king was erm... Randall from 09/04, Peng Juay's good fren from the Econs quiz. There were 5 nominees, my cousin was one of them. I actually told myself i wont vote for him. Than i saw the other four nominees. Oh my, forget it, i'll vote for my cousin. One was Randall, undoubtedly the plump king, cute and nice perhaps. The second was guess who... HOUSTON. yes, him. The third was my cousin, forth was this guy that was pretty popular but i 看不爽 cuz he dyed his hair the same colour as the lamps and he had to wear sunglasses indoor. The final one was some guy the emcees cant even remember the name of. He's just the kinda quiet, nerdy, transparent kinda guy. But yea, Randall was prom king. good for him. But he made our table laugh so hard since it is pretty unbelievable that he is Prom King. Hahaha. Than prom king and queen had to lead the first slow dance. It was pretty funny because after 2 min, Esther let go and started dancing with another guy while our happy prom king leans against the wall alone. For the rest of the night.

Slow dance sessions were boring for us, but the best part of the night for the couples. In fact, slow dance had more people on the dance floor than fast dance! The couples were like holding each other so tightly, whispering into each other's ears and what not. It was positively nauseating. But it got pretty funny when the DJ changed the music to fast music later, but the couples still INSISTED on slow dancing... Like half an hour after the slow dance, they still slow dancing.... held so closely together we wonder if they can breathe. As the people in the ballroom lessened, our very own TJC couples loosened up. It was weird sitting at the table and watching our famous couple HER on HIM's lap and they were happily kissing away... errrrrrrrrrrr. Then Chirag or something came to ask Xin Ru to dance. Than he tried to make me and Andrea encourage Xin Ru. So he said, "What kind of friends are you?" And we replied, "exactly, What kind of friend are we if we tell her to dance with you?" Haha, than we talked a bit and he realised my cousin is Ivan. He said "Ivan rocks, so you must rock too! Wanna dance??#" At that very moment another council guy walked over to talk to him and we laughed "there, your dance partner!" to which he said he'll rather dance with a glass of ice water than dance with him. And we laughed. haha... in the end Xin Ru did go and dance with that guy la. Please lor, he just wanted to get a girl to dance with him, he din even care who. Than me and Andrea sat there laughing and talking... A girl from 33/04 was so sad no one asked her to dance, she started tearing (no la, actually i tink it's her contacts or mascara or something) . Heh. Even Houston got 2 girls to dance with him. And you know ERWIN. The carecubs Erwin who is the kind hearted guai guy? Ya, he had a girl in his arms during slow dance and he was groovin away during the fast numbers. OH my goodness. Prom is really where u spot the couples you didn know were couples, and where u see the other side of the guai and the nerdy. And there were bouquets of flowers lying all around, gifts to the girls from the guys. Like there was a pretty sweet scene where Hafiz gave Zi Rui a bouqet of flowers and said something to her, and she let out a gasp before throwing herself into Hafiz' embrace. So sweet. And for the rest of the night, their hands stuck firmly together. How nice.

It's a time where u start realising you're one of the few people unattached, because during the slow dances, you see the people still seated(not many). And you sit there and enjoy talking to your girlfriends! Haha... I'm sure having a date would be fun and all... but spending my prom night with Andrea and Xin Ru was cool too! We had fun spotting the couples and musing "wow... i din know she has a boyfriend!" and "Hey look, who's Jansen's date?" and "Oh, Tiang Lim brought his girlfriend!" and "Want to go down to the dance floor?" where we basically just jump to the music. But the dance floor has this mist/smoke spraying thing that diffused some odd-smelling smoke onto the dance floor blurring your vision and giving me the feeling i am in a pub or something. And i hate smoke, whatever kind it is. So i always end up going back to my seat and watching people. Oh yea, and yesterday Xin Ru told me you could tell who clubs and who doesn when u go look at the people on the dance floor. Haha.... more obvious than obviously, i don't. I never will. Haha. Than yesterday alot of people left halfway to go clubbing. Cuz TJ had more girls than guys, so the probablity of getting asked in pretty low. But in a club, it's a whole different story. I guess getting asked and wadeva has it's attraction, pulling people to pubs and clubs. Er. Good for them. 12 midnight, Dad and Mum came to pick me up... Andrea's dad also came. Xin Ru walked with me down the stairs and bye bye everyone.

Tuan, don't be disappointed. It was ok, really. Cheer up and be happy! Grad nite will be better.
